The first graders went shopping today for a Thanksgiving meal. They were given $25 and had to pick 6 items! They all came up with very delicious meals, and stayed on budget!

To say we are proud of our students today would be an understatement! We truly have an amazing student body. Students in grade 7-12 attended the "Steered Straight" presentation at the Jamestown High School. Wow-- what an awesome message. Please ask our kids about it.
Students in grades 4-6 then joined us at Walmart where we fulfilled the GIVING SERVICE PROJECT. Our kids were so respectful as they collaborated with one another shopping for the perfect presents to make someone's Christmas extra special.
Thank you to Farmers Union for allowing us to come eat in your building after we shopped.
It's days like this that make my job so fulfilling. Oriole Pride- so proud of our school and community. Thankful for great kids- supportive parents- and the best educational staff we could ask for!

The first grade has been learning about ancient Egypt. Today they built their own pyramids out of playdoh! Lorelie joined in on the fun also!

Boston Bachert was diagnosed with Tourettes at the age of 7. He goes around the nation presenting his magic, juggling, and circus show. He uses his show to entertain and connect with students to let them know that there are ways to overcome and persevere past a diagnosis and all of the struggles that comes with it. Today, we were lucky enough to have him speak at our school! Thank you, Boston!

Fifth graders having fun constructing electrical transmission lines!!

The first graders played spelling musical chairs today!

All buses, students, teachers, and staff are in safe. Thank you for working with us as we were 1 hour late. Have a great day-- welcome back to NORTH DAKOTA WINTER. Have a great day- stay warm!!!

Parents: Yesterday a note came home about a GIVING SERVICE PROJECT we are going to participate in. If you are interested in donating $5.00 please have your child bring their money on Friday. If your child didn't bring the note home please ask them about it. They can get another copy in the office if needed. Feel free to call if you have any questions.

Our high school student council members attended an ADAPTABILITY Workshop focusing on GRIT-RESILIENCE-and HUMILITY. Students were able to explore personal will, role of relationships in resilience, and how to cultivate humility. Students took part in numerous activities together as a team at the Newman Center on the University of Jamestown campus. It was a great day to be an Oriole! Thank you to the LEADERSHIP TEAM at UJ for making this day possible for students.
