Dear Parents & Guardians:
I am happy to announce that elementary boys’ basketball will begin on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 (after football season). If your child plans on participating, he will need a physical before practice starts; however, if he had one last year, you only need to complete Form B (due to COVID-19). You can find them on our school’s website, or let me know if you need one.
Meanwhile, it would be a good idea for your son to practice at home with ball handling, dribbling, and shooting. Our first game is already on Monday, October 5th at Ashley beginning at 4:30pm.
Please notify me at 226-9040 by Friday, September 25th if your son will be joining our Imperial Basketball Team.
Here’s our first week’s practice schedule in the community center:
• Wednesday, Sept. 30 from 5-6:00pm
• Thursday, Oct. 1 from 5:45-7:00 (There is an elementary game starting at 4:30, so practice will start after the game. Your son can watch prior to practice, but be aware that they may need to wear masks as spectators.)
• Friday, Oct. 2 from 5-6:30pm
• ****GAME*** October 5th in Ashley

More Tic Tac Toe Boards from the 8th grade. Interesting painting techniques.
9th Grade Ag students have been working with reading rulers and correct measurements. They completed a project with a tic tac toe board using their skills.
Dressing up for Homecoming has always been one of my favorite things! Glad my students are willing to participate and even be my TWIN!
GS Elementary is looking for approximately 30 metal jarring rings for a project. If you have any you would like to send our way we would greatly appreciate it!
The JH-Varsity Volleyball games on Thursday, September 17th have been postponed.
All other 9-12 Volleyball activities have been postponed until September 29th.
Friday’s football game against Linton-HMB/Strasburg-Zeeland and the homecoming parade have been postponed.
The Title I Parent Meeting set for Friday has been postponed, parents will be notified when a new date it set.

Due to being unable to transport all students on the buses while sticking to our Smart Restart transportation protocols, Gackle-Streeter School will NOT be sending students to the Homecoming Parade in Napoleon on Friday. If a parent would like to take their child to the parade, please send a note or call the office to excuse the student.
In addition, there WILL BE SCHOOL on Friday, September 25th. The Professional Development Day has been rescheduled for Friday, October 30th.
FYI/reminder: those music student's who are available, will be starting to make burritos on Tuesday after school in the school kitchen.
