2025 Spelling Bee
On February 13th, the annual Logan County Spelling Bee was held at the Gackle-Street Public School. Representing Napoleon were Brellan Leier, McKoy Wald, Trey Rau, Issac Woodrow, Bennett Gerhardt, Breckan Schaffner, Carter Braun, and Dawson Erbele. Representing Gackle Streeter were Emma Heller, Wyatt Bartholomaus, Izabelle Miller, Alaina Nenow, William Metz, James Homola, Chase Martin, and Jacob Seigman.
The winners of the Logan County Spelling Bee (in order of ranking) Carter Braun, CHase Martin, Dawson Erbele, and Bennett Gerhardt. The top two winners advance to the state competition in Bismarck on Monday, March 17, 2025. The 3rd and 4th place winners are the alternates.
The North Dakota Spelling Bee program is funded primarily by sponsor grants. The North Dakota Association of County Superintendents (NDACS) manages and administers the program. The North Dakota Spelling Bee consists of three levels of competition: school, county, and state. It is open to public, private, and homeschool students (or school district-based homeschool associations).
